Razom’s Ukraine on Campus initiative is a developing project focused on connecting students, faculty, and campus administrators interested in championing Ukraine and mobilizing the resources they need to activate their institutions in support of the interdisciplinary study of Ukraine, diverse campus engagements with Ukraine, and Ukrainian victory.

Ukrainian Student Group Repository

From the get-go, we built a repository of 90+ Ukrainian student groups across college and university campuses, hosted at ukraineoncampus.org. Featuring profiles of the institutions and links to each student group, the database is a fantastic resource for connecting and collaborating with students already organizing in their communities, whether you’re interested in partnerships across institutions or planning a visit from Ukraine.

Conference Travel Stipends & Supplemental Programming

Through our travel grants program for students and presenters, we’re jumpstarting productive and participatory engagement in the study of Ukraine. To date, we’ve supported 175 stipend recipients in attending conferences like ASEEES, ASN, TCUP, RUTA, AATSEEL, UAS, ALTA, UIUC, the inaugural Shevchenko Workshop in Ukrainian Studies, and research trips to Ukraine. Supplemental programming like workshops and gatherings have created opportunities for students, presenters, and attendees to connect with a community of likeminded individuals championing a secure, democratic, and prosperous Ukraine through their work.

Event & Exhibit Support Grants

Ukraine on Campus support grants are available to help partially offset the costs of organizing Ukraine-related engagements in a university or college setting, including funding for film screenings, panel discussions, exhibits, and other opportunities. We encourage students and faculty to tap into on-campus funding as a first step, but are here to help fill the gaps.

2000 Meters to Andriivka Toolkit

As part of the impact campaign for 2000 Meters to Andriivka, we've partnered to create a streamlined process for students, faculty, and administrators to screen the film on their campuses. When we did the same with 20 Days in Mariupol, 51 colleges and universities screened the film across 23 states, with an average audience of 48 attendees per screening. 60% of screenings were student-led, with the other 40% being organized by faculty or administrators.

The screening allowed Artem, a survivor featured in the film and undergoing rehabilitation in Minnesota at the time, to speak to a crowd of 150+ alongside a member of the Academy Award committee for the Documentary section and the Consul General of Canada. The event was organized by a Fulbrighter from Ukraine, Roman, who applied for and received our screening kit.

Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian, is dedicated to upholding the principles of the Revolution of Dignity (Maidan) and actively contributing to the establishment of a secure, prosperous, and democratic Ukraine. We achieve this by creating, inspiring, and collaborating on initiatives that motivate people to think, partner and do.
